Retire on Property on Property Bookshelf

I have gathered most of my knowledge on property investing and investing in general from books, free information on the web and years of practice. Here are some of the best books I have read over the years which I'd strongly recommend you buy and read yourself. But I have also included those which I thought were a complete waste of my time and money - just so that you don't have to make the same mistake too!

Some personal finance books promise to show you how to become a millionaire and they usually fail to deliver on their promise. The Millionaire Next Door by Thomas J. Stanley and William D. Danko is different though. It is built on years of research, on large amounts of statistics and case studies. It doesn’t make hollow promises. Instead, it profiles people who have already become millionaires.

The Millionaire Next Door is a classic, but with a flaw - is not very well written and can be repetitive and dull in some areas. However, I believe it is an essential read for anyone who wants to achieve financial freedom.

Rating: Buy it, read it and use it.
